Centrifugal Molding
Centrifugal molding machines are commonly used in the filtration industry to make the paper-to-housing seal on various types of filter products, including HEPA and respirator filters. Since 1985, Sheepscot has built centrifugal molding machines to accommodate parts from 2" to 12" diameter. Loading & unloading of parts ranges from manual to fully automatic, using robotic pick and place devices. Sizing ranges from stand-alone, single station lab units at one end of the spectrum to high production, 30 part/minute systems at the other. Our machines have made the paper-to-housing seal on dozens of different designs, often by retooling nests on an existing machine.
